Bollywood/Hollywood Night

This post is out of order, but I can't forget to add these photos! We had the BEST ward in Singapore and the BEST Activities Committee in our Singapore 1st Ward! They threw the best parties and everyone in our ward was so much fun. Can you tell that I miss them??? We were able to hit one last party before we left Singapore and the theme was Bollywood/Hollywood. I dressed Bollywood and Jason dressed Hollywood. I never thought that I would really get the chance to wear my sari, so I was excited about the party. One problem, though, I had no idea how to put it on. I had to run down to the pool at our apartments and scan the scene for anyone who could possibly help me! Luckily, I found someone and she wrapped me up and I was ready to go! The party was great, our ward was great and we miss them A LOT!

Lake Run 2008

I have wanted to run the Lake Run in Lake Oswego for years and we were finally in town this year to do it! It is a 12K around the lake in Lake Oswego. The course takes you through beautiful neighborhoods with views of the lake, but was really hilly and difficult! Jason and I ran the race together. He is the best running partner because he knows just how to pace you, he can tell you story after story to keep your mind off of running and he never seems to get tired! After our race, there was a race for kids. Madison and Brody...well, and Jason...ran the race together. They loved it. Madison insisted on looking pretty for the race. She wouldn't wear her hair back, had to wear her pretty sweater and had to race in her pretty pink shoes! Brody LOVES to run and was so excited to get his very own race number and ribbon. They were really cute stretching out before the race and they did a big Team Bushnell cheer before the race. It was a great way to spend a Saturday morning!

Enchanted Forest

We pass Enchanted Forest every time we drive between Lake Oswego and Philomath and I have never been! Jason has been several times and always told the kids about it when we would pass it. They have been wanting to go for a really long time and we decided to go when their cousin Rivers came to visit. We all had a great time. The most memorable part of the day was the Haunted House, though. My kids were deathly afraid of the Haunted House and wouldn't even enter ( I think Jason has scared them one too many times with his stash of Halloween masks)...but, Rivers was brave and she went. Her mistake, though, was to go with Jason. He scared her so bad inside the Haunted House that we could hear her crying from outside!

Tokyo, Japan

We made a stop in Tokyo for a week, before heading home to Oregon. We had always wanted to visit Japan, so we were really excited to have the chance before we left Singapore. We definitely have caught the travel bug over the years! It was the perfect way to break up the long flight home, too!
We had a great time going to Disney Sea, Mt. Fuji and walking around Tokyo. When we got to the top of Mount Fuji it was covered in snow. Madison, Brody and Warwick thought it was so cool! They haven't felt cold in alomst 2 years and were so excited to put their coats on and throw snowballs! The kids loved Disney Sea, of course. It was a really rainy day, so we never waited in line once...but, we got really wet! The Japanese kids are adorably cute in their cute school uniforms, the cherry blossom trees were in bloom and gorgeous and we definitely enjoyed our share of sushi! Japan is a gorgeous place and it was a great way to end our Asian adventure. It was a great family vacation..but, I think every vacation with my family is the best!

Kuala Lumpur Tourney

I know...it has been a long time since I last posted anything! I will try and catch up with what we have been up to the last few months!

Right before we moved to Oregon we went on a romantic trip to Malaysia to play in an ultimate frisbee tournament. I say, romantic, because it was the first time that Jason and I had gone anywhere overnight, without our kids, since Madison was born almost 7 years ago! It was so much fun. We rode on a big team bus and stayed the weekend in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We got to know some great people on our team, called Freakshow, and we really enjoyed the time together! It rained A LOT, so the fields were so muddy. It definitely made it more exciting and fun!

Jason looking good!

Jason makes a move to get open. Jason is awesome at cutting deep for a long pass in the endzone!

Tough defense! Jason looks like a giant!

Warming up with some teammates.

We loved our team. We met some of the greatest people playing frisbee.
Team Huddle!
Ting, Diana and Jac

I swear we were playing frisbee, not mud wrestling!
Team Freakshow!
